Financial Support

Financial Assistance for Unexpected Expenses

At Stamford Veterinary Centre, we understand that unexpected veterinary bills can be stressful. We offer financial options to help you manage the cost of your pet's care.

Direct Insurance Claim

If your pet is insured, we can process a direct insurance claim on your behalf. This means your insurance provider pays Stamford Veterinary Centre directly for your pets’ treatment. You will just need to pay the excess, any policyholder contribution % (if applicable) and a claim processing fee at the time of treatment.

Direct claims are subject to approval and need to be over £500. Please note, we are unable to submit monthly direct claims for lifetime medication/prescription diets due to logistical complexities.

Klarna (up to £1000)

With Klarna, you can spread the cost of your pet’s treatment over a three-month period. The first payment can be delayed by 30-60 days if needed. To use Klarna, simply:

1. Download the Klarna app onto your mobile phone (or scan QR code)

2. Open the app and sign up if you haven’t previously

3. Tap the wallet icon, choose in- store, and search for IVC Evidensia.

4. Create a budget using a one-time card (e.g. the cost of your pet’s treatment)

5. Add the card to your Apple or Google Wallet

6. At the practice, you can then pay for your pet’s treatment via our card machine by using/tapping your IVC Evidensia card in your Apple/Google Wallet.

Carefree Credit

(£50 - £6500 at 0% APR and up to 12 months)

Carefree Credit offers interest-free (0%APR) loans to be paid back over 3-12 months. The application process is straightforward and takes about 5 minutes to complete. The financial team at Stamford Veterinary Centre will generate a link that is sent to you via an email. Once your online application is approved and a 10% deposit is paid, our vets can carry out the required treatment. Carefree Credit will settle the cost, and you will be responsible for monthly direct debit repayments to them.
