Kennel Cough Vaccinations

We offer 50% off kennel cough vaccines when given during your new puppy's primary course.

Kennel cough is a highly contagious disease of the respiratory tract. Dogs of all ages can be affected and signs include a harsh dry cough.

Dogs are at risk whenever they gather together at boarding kennels, parks, training classes, dog shows.

The cough can last for some weeks and during this time more serious complications can arise such as pneumonia. Vaccination against kennel cough can be done at the same time as your puppy's vaccinations and is given via a nasal spray.

A Free Puppy Toy

Remember to always supervise your puppy during play time.

Microchipping

It has now become law that all puppies 8 weeks and over are to be microchipped and registered with the correct owner's details.

Microchipping is a way of identifying your puppy. It is similar to a vaccination injection but it deposits a chip about the size of a grain of rice in the scruff between the shoulder blades. The chip carries a number specific to your puppy. This number is then registered along with your details onto a national database so that if your puppy is found and scanned, they will be able to contact you straight away.

If your puppy requires a microchip, please let the receptionist know when booking your appointment.

Free Nurse Development Consultations

Our nurses offer complimentary Development Consultations. During these sessions, the nurse will weigh your puppy and dispense any parasite treatments that are due (treatments are chargeable). They will also answer any of your questions and help with any behavioural issues you may be experiencing.

We recommend you come and see our nurses every 4 weeks until your puppy is 6 months old. We make these visits fun and interactive and they are a great way for your puppy to get to know us and develop and positive relationship with the practice.
